Frequently asked questions

What does the CIF price mean here?

It is the customs value per kg declared at import into Korea: cost, insurance and freight, before Korean duty and VAT. We divide total value by total weight for each month and country.

Where does the data come from?

Korea Customs Service import statistics by HS code and country of origin. We group the HS codes into product groups and update the report every month after Korea Customs publishes the previous month.

Why does the price move when the market did not change?

Each group mixes sizes, species and processing levels. If more processed or larger product arrives in a month, the average rises. Compare the trend over several months, and by country.

Can you connect me with Korean buyers?

Yes. Tell us your product, origin, specs and price terms in the form. We share it only with Korean importers who handle that product, and connect you when one is interested.
